Over the last week, I’ve truly had some very entertaining experiences β honey, chocolate, fighting on the streets, a fire-show, looking over the city from the city hall tower, and more!
Beekeeping workshop
We got a workshop on beekeeping. In practical terms, all the hard work was already done β we just got to enjoy the tasty and creative results.
Essentially, honey combs contained little pockets of honey with a seal. We only had to scrape off the wax cappings to release the honey from the comb. And then we put the frames in a centrifuge so that the dripping would happen faster. Once the honey had dripped out, we ate pancakes… with freshly unleashed honey!

Climbing the Lviv town hall tower
On the last free Saturday before the course would end, I wanted to enjoy the city one more time. Some co-students, tutors, teachers and I just wanted to have some casual fun. So, we visited a book store and soon after decided to climb the Lviv town hall tower β almost 400 steps π.

The view of the city from the top was amazing as well.

Afterwards, we went to eat somewhere β and do some coffee with cake in yet another place.

City tour with the ‘Night watch’
The course provided a very nice tour provided by the ‘night watch’, quite different from the earlier tour. The Cossack guide was very entertaining and ‘in character’ β we got a proper tour with many jokes, historical stories and some entertaining ‘cutscenes’…
In one scene, a ‘robbery’ took place. I and others had to fight the ‘bandit’ as well! The whole tour ended with a fire-show at dusk. (Usually, this tour would’ve been done at night and the show would’ve been even more magical, but due to the curfew it had to be done earlier.)

Chocolate workshop
As if honey pancakes wasn’t enough β we also got to make our own chocolate bonbons in a later workshop! The Lviv Handmade Chocolate Factory that gave the workshop is a dangerous place, because I ended up going to the dormitories with way more chocolate than I made myself…

In conclusion
The workshops of the last two weeks were fun and are unforgettable events in my journey. Exploring Lviv with friends was equally fun and unforgettable, even though the end of our course was looming. But I can say β I’ve truly been lviving the good life!
